Lansbridge University Moves into the Lead as Atlantic Canada’s Largest Graduate Business School.
Lansbridge University, a fully accredited, degree granting institution located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, is seeing record enrollments and is now the largest university in the region offering MBA and Executive MBA programs.
Having been established less than a decade ago, it's a position that President, Daryl Lisson, had not yet expected to realize so soon. "We have really seen a surge in inquiries and, in turn, record admissions at the university. Our September and January figures show that even with the uncertainty in the economy, people still see the value in furthering their education". Mr. Lisson goes on to say that many early indicators had predicted that online business schools would see an increase in enrollments due to the economic down-turn and that has held true in Lansbridge University's case. This growth continues to lend credence to the value of quality online business education even in tough economic times.
"Now more than ever, working professionals are seeking an executive MBA or general MBA to safe-guard their positions or to gain a competitive advantage. The fact that we are 100% online also factors into the equation as people cannot afford, especially now, to leave their place of employment to pursue a graduate business degree, not even for a few weeks every year."
In November 2008, the Canadian Business Magazine published its 17th annual MBA Report in which Lansbridge University was one of the featured institutions. It was from this report that the university realized their student enrollment figures out-number those of its counterparts, both in the public and private educational sector, across the Atlantic region. "Obviously, we are extremely pleased with these numbers and are impressed with the continued growth of the university." With the launch of a new website in early October and improving on the student learning and alumni networking experience, the university sees this as a continuing trend.
